Dust to Dust (2010 - 2015) is a solo exhibition by eminent contemporary Bangladeshi artist Mahbubur Rahman. Mahbub's 25 years of creative practice have established him as one of Bangladesh's most radical and challenging artists. Ever since he graduated as a painter at the Institute of Fine Arts at Dhaka University in 1993, he has been redefining the limits of artistic expression in Bangladesh. Breaking with the traditional specialization established by the curriculum, Mahbub has pioneered the cross-media approach in visual arts. This exhibition is conceived as an illustration of the artist's polymorphous endeavors: from charcoal drawings to complex installations with fabricated objects mixing sound and light, the exhibition opens a window on Rahman's ambitious experimentation.
